November marks the start of colder weather, which brings unique risks. Take proper precautions against damage prior to the freezing temperatures. For example, preventing pipes from freezing, location of space heaters and making sure holiday decorations are clear of heating sources to name a few.

As far as autos, winter weather brings freezing rain, snow and slippery roads.... especially around Thanksgiving (busiest travel period of the year).

This season serves as a great reminder of the importance of having collision and comprehensive coverage to protect against accidents and weather-related damage.

I began my career as a State Farm Agent July 1, 2005 and have been serving Midtown, Downtown, and all of Memphis since then. My agency recently became dual licensed and able to serve Mississippi customers as well. I serve on the board of directors of the Cooper-Young Business Association as President and am a Cooper-Young Festival Board Member.

My focus in the agency is to serve our customers first and treat them as the Golden Rule says. In fact, that is our agency's vision statement. Using the RICP (Retirement Income Accredited Professional) education and training, I work with our customers by reviewing for their upcoming retirement, specifically on formulating plans to spend down the assets that have been accumulated in the most tax efficient manner, including how and when to file for social security.

I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the lake, and traveling.
